Act Now To Fight Long Covid
The following are Long Covid action items created by LCAP or ones LCAP supports. We encourage everyone with or without Long Covid to participate in taking action to help push for an end to the Long Covid crisis. If you have ideas or action items you want to see, please contact us or add your ideas to the appropriate Long Covid sections in the general Google doc. Volunteer work and donations are always welcome.

LCAP & the Long COVID Foundation are thrilled to announce the funding goal set by Dr. Johan Van Weyenbergh, and his research team, for Long COVID Biomarkers Validation has been reached. This was accomplished thanks to the incredible support of more than 200 donors, plus separate funding provided directly to Dr. Van Weyenbergh from the Polybio Research Foundation. We see this as a historic grassroots effort giving researchers an opportunity to validate a Long COVID blood test.

Sign the “Mandate Respirator Protection In Your Healthcare Facility (International Action)” letter to ask that respirator use be mandated by healthcare providers and facilities, in order to sanctuarize these essential places and mitigate the threat of infection from SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).

Sign the “Request for NIH to Retract RECOVER Study Regarding 12 Symptom PASC Score For Long Covid” letter to call for a retraction of the recent study “Development of a Definition of Postacute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 Infection” published in The Journal of the American Medical Association. The study, along with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) press release titled “Large Study Provides Scientists Deeper Insight into Long Covid Symptoms”, raise significant concerns for people living with Long Covid.
